The Fill A Backpack program at A Precious Child supplies disadvantaged and displaced children with backpacks filled with school supplies to help them be prepared to perform in school. It is our 2013 goal to provide 6,000 backpacks filled with supplies to disadvantaged and displaced Colorado kids and we cannot do it without the help of our community. Individuals and organizations interested in supporting Fill A Backpack are encouraged to visit our Fill A Backpack webpage to see a list of needed supplies, to view a list of local school supply drop-off locations, and to learn more about program sponsorship. The Legacy fund is the Foundation's main endowment. The initial goal is to reach $1,000,000 which will be the endowed principal. Currently we have another $50,000 to go to reach that goal. Once reached, earnings can be used to distribute more money to organizations that help make a positive impact in Broomfield.
