Who Are We?
The East Valley Jewish Community Center was founded over 40 years ago as the Jewish Organization of Tempe (JOT) by parents in the East Valley seeking a Jewish Pre-School experience for their children. Eventually, the JOT partnered with the Phoenix JCC as a branch agency. When the Phoenix JCC disbanded, the Tri-City JCC, became an autonomous agency. In 2004, with the help of the the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, and commercial developer Michael Pollack, the East Valley Jewish Community Center identified and renovated its current space on Alma School and Ray Roads. The center’s facility includes 25,500 square feet including 16 classrooms, offices, a warming kitchen, and a multi-purpose room, with an adjoining 4.5 acre parcel of land designated for future expansion. The East Valley Jewish Community Center continues a history of service and excellence in the community. Serving well over 200 families a day, the East Valley JCC is the only Jewish Pre-School in the East Valley accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the highest accreditation that a pre-school can attain. The East Valley JCC is proud to welcome families from Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Queen Creek and Phoenix.

Our Mission
Through services and programs the East Valley JCC promotes and strengthens Jewish values and identity by meeting the needs of individuals and families of all races, religions, and cultures.
