2013 Make A Difference Day, National Day of Service Event to be done on October 26, 2013, at all 12 Higley Unified School District schools. Please go to husd.org, and look for the link provided for the Make a Difference Day event; you will be able to sign-up for various projects online for any one of the 12 school sites. At each of Higley’s 12 schools, hundreds of volunteers will come together to make the campuses even better. The national “Make a Difference Day” service projects in the Higley Unified School District will include raking sand and park on the playgrounds, picking up trash, washing windows, power washing buildings and gum removal from sidewalks, giving walls a fresh coat of paint and more. Half a dozen Eagle Scout projects are also planned and some volunteers will work to create 540 emergency kits to provide one for each and every classroom.
