When a gal hears the words, "you have breast cancer", her world begins to fall apart. We provide the comfort and education to help her get over her initial shock and begin her new journey. Two breast cancer survivors will visit her with a bag filled with items to help her including a hand-made stuffed heart to keep with her to remember she is not alone. When we make the first visit, we find out what she is going through and can put her in touch with someone in our network who has already been through what she is going through. That is a huge comfort. We also provide resources for her as there are a lot of needs she doesn't even know yet. Then we hold her hand and give her lots of hugs. We keep in touch with her for as long as she wants us to and many friendships have been started because of this relationship.

My Hope Bag is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing bags of HOPE and comfort, as well as resources and wellness education, for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
