AZCEND formerly Chandler Christian Community Center
Formed in 1966, AZCEND formerly Chandler Christian Community Center is a non-sectarian, nonprofit agency that provides for basic needs and empowers people and communities to help themselves through the Chandler Food Bank, Family Resource Center, and Chandler/Gilbert Community Action and Senior Nutrition programs.

Child Crisis Center

We are a shelter for abused or neglected children ages 0-11, and an adoption and foster care agency. We also offer parenting classes and programs through our family resource center and free in-home support for parents of children ages 0-5. If you know of a child who needs a safe place while a situation is being resolved at home, please call 480.969.2308.

COTA for Logan C
COTA (Children's Organ Transplant Association) is a 501(c)(3) organization that helps families with children needing an organ transplant fundraise for transplant-related expenses. Logan Carson is a 9 year old boy living in Gilbert who needs a kidney transplant. COTA for Logan C is the local campaign to raise funds for COTA, in honor of Logan, to help with tranplant related expenses. 100% of the funds generated for COTA in honor of Logan C will be used for transplant related expenses.

East Valley RSVP
East Valley RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) is a program of the nonprofit East Valley Adult Resources serving nonprofits, medical centers and government agencies in the Town of Gilbert and also throughout eastern Maricopa, Gila and Pinal counties. We provide life-changing opportunities for volunteers age 55 and over. We help meet critical needs of communities by mobilizing around 60,000 hours of volunteer service a year. We strengthen public and nonprofit agencies by matching skilled 345-400 volunteers with vital programs and services.

Loving human interaction is the best resource for real healing and relief and can only be provided as a voluntary act; everyone needs to love and be loved. Gilbert Historical Society and Museum
The Gilbert Historical Museum is the oldest cultural organization in Gilbert and private, nonprofit organization. Housed in the original elementary school and built in 1913, it is the only building in Gilbert on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum has permanent and temporary exhibits, an annual quilt show, an annual Memorial Day commemorative service, and a signature fundraising gala--A Night at the Museum. In addition to thousands of visitors, the museum also hosts hundreds of school field trips and adult tours.

Gilbert Junior High School PTRO
Gilbert Jr. High School PTRO is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to raising funds to be used in the classroom, and on the campus of GJHS to enhance the quality of education and services for the students, staff and community.

Gilbert Relay for Life
The Relay for Life of Gilbert works in the community by outreach through to our local schools, hospitals, faith organizations and business’. We are aiming to raise awareness to those affected by cancer in our community as well as work with organizations for our Relay for Life event on May 10th. Our Relay is an overnight event where teams walk throughout the night fundraising to help make strides in cancer research and fund local programs offered to members of our community.

Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pine Council
GSACPC serves central and northern Arizona, and portions of the Navajo Nation. Equipped with skill-building programming and four resident and day camps, we reach 24,000 girls ages 5-17 and 10,000 adult volunteers each year. GSACPC is always looking for those interested in sharing their time and talents with girls. It is a fun-filled and rewarding journey helping to shape girls of courage, confidence and character that builds lasting memories. While a girl pays just $15 in annual dues, our Council invests more than $300 to provide her with a full year of high quality programs. As a 501C-3 organization, we depend on contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners to make Girl Scouting affordable to every girl, regardless of her family income. Your gifts support the cost of membership, programs, camp, volunteer training, and so much more.

Helen's Hope Chest
When a child is removed from a dangerous housing situation and placed into foster or kinship care, they are often unable to take with them basic items such as clothing, shoes, and hygiene items. At Helen's Hope Chest, we provide these children and their new foster families from all across Arizona with a place to "shop" for these supplies in a warm and welcoming boutique-like environment. Thanks to your generous donations, we are able to provide these items free of cost to 650-750 clients monthly so the family and child can focus on healing and living their best life possible.

Hope Village Arizona

Hope Village Arizona is a shared vision for an intergenerational community supporting children in the process of adoption in Arizona. It will provide permanent adoptive homes for children in foster care awaiting adoption. Adoptive families will be recruited from local communities and trained to meet the needs of the children. Senior citizens will be enrolled to hep the children and families with tutoring, child care and mentoring. Support from the Hope Village administration will include ongoing parenting training and support for adoptive parents and counseling for the children and families as needed. As well assistance for improved quality of life for seniors.

House of Refuge, Inc.
House of Refuge offers transitional housing and supportive services to homeless families in east Maricopa County. On any given day, approximately 250 people (100 adults and 150 children), call House of Refuge home. Adult participants are required to work while part of the program. Individual case plans are designed for each participant with a strong emphasis on financial literacy. Lutheran Social Services - SW
Family SPOT is a program of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest in collaboration with faith-based and community organizations to serve the diverse needs of young children and their families. Funding is through a grant from First Things First, whose goal is to identify health and education opportunities for children birth through five years old. Family SPOT understands that parents are the key to strong and ready children, so the program offers many opportunities to help families increase protective factors that promote strong parenting and children’s optimal development that will help lead to stronger communities. Family SPOT is equipped to offer concrete support to families in times of need such as resources and referrals, family assessments, and various parenting classes. Resources and referrals provide families much-needed access to information and links to resources to increase their capability and confidence to support their child’s safety, health, and readiness for kindergarten. Family assessment appointments are held at Family SPOT Resource Centers between staff and families who are in need of community resources; completing a SNAP or AHCCCS application and linking a family with quality healthcare providers, child care, and any other resources specific to that family’s needs. Family SPOT Resource Centers offer a variety of evidence-based opportunities for parents to increase their knowledge and understanding of parenting and child development.

Mercy Housing Southwest
Mercy Housing Southwest provides high-quality, program-enriched affordable housing to low and moderate income seniors and people with special needs across Maricopa County. In Gilbert, we operate Page Commons Apartments, serving seniors 55 years and older with incomes between 30 percent and 60 percent of the area median income. Residents have access to programs and services to help them improve their health, increase their engagement with the community, and maintain a stable, independent living situation.

One Small Step, Inc.
One Small Step, Inc. operates Clothes Cabin to provide free gently used clothing, shoes, and household linens to people who cannot afford to buy what they need. It also provides a free laundry service to its homeless clients and new steel-toed work boots to men and women who need them to get a job.

ReAwaken
We will fulfill our mission by: Establishing a network of women who can empathize with life’s challenges of being divorced, becoming a single parent, sexual harassment or any form of abuse. ReAwaken was born in 2012 with the help of women in Phoenix who had a desire to connect and become a part of their community. Our vision is to provide workshops and spiritual retreats for women that allows women to reconnect with their own inner woman. This is the woman that lives inside of you but often gets little time for herself. The creators of this group have had their own share of ups and downs in their life; from marriage and divorces to pregnancies and single parenting. We hope you will choose to join us on this journey – your journey. Set aside your typical daily responsibilities and hone in on your spirit.

Shun the Sun Foundation
Shun the Sun Foundations is to be the principal voice for Education & Awareness of the harmful and devastating effects of skin cancer caused by prolonged sun and artificial UV rays exposure. Through fund raising efforts the foundation: Educates our school children regarding the harmful effects of sun overexposure - Builds playground Shade Structures - Plans to build Shade Structures over other community facilities - Looks to become the foremost treatment facility in fighting against and finding a cure for skin cancer

Soles 4 Souls
A shoe drive to bring hope and safety to people around the globe. Any shoe, any size they can all be used to help a person in need. I am collecting 10,000 pairs from the Gilbert area.

Starbright Foundation Inc
Starbright strives to care for the children in our valley that are victims of severe abuse and those children sold into human sex traffficking. This crime has rapidly increased and Starbright is the only non profit in the valley that serves infants through age 18 that fall victim to these horrific crimes. Starbright also cares for hurting children, hungry children and those who have needs of clothing and personal items. We educate children and adults on the issues of human sex trafficking and internet safety as well as issues that our students can face such as bullying, suicide, abuse, date rape and more. Starbright is connected to many local businesses and churches that can resource together to care for the needs of hurting children. Won't you join with us on saying "No Excuse for Child Abuse?

United Food Bank
Founded in 1983, United Food Bank's mission is to provide access to nutritious food through community partnerships, food distribution and education in the greater East Valley and Eastern Arizona. We achieve our mission by providing food and related commodities to people in need through a network of over 250 partner agencies; partnering with emergency food programs and other nonprofits that meet the needs of food-insecure people; providing a system for distributing food and commodities; educating the public about hunger; and providing services with compassion and respect for the client's dignity. As a Feeding America affiliate, United Food Bank is part of a 200-food bank network that provides connections to national food companies. As part of the Association of Arizona Food Banks, United Food Bank works to disseminate information on poverty and hunger, as well as cooperate on food distribution. In 2010, United Food Bank relocated to a new facility at 245 S Nina Drive in Mesa. This move enabled us to triple our storage capacity and feed more people. We still do all of our sorting and volunteer activities at our original location at 358 E Javelina Avenue in Mesa. United Food Bank'™s service area is over 25,000 square miles, approximately 22% of Arizona's total land area. Approximately 22% of Arizona's total population is in United Food Bank'™s service area.

Winged Hope Family Advocacy Foundation
Winged Hope's correlated programs focus on Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Awareness, Prevention and Treatment. We help existing Family Advocacy Centers, and help start up new Family Advocacy Centers around Arizona. We have reached thousands of victims and survivors around Arizona. We believe in collaborating with other non profits, government agencies and the community at large, to help spread our message of hope and provide services to all who need us.
