Actor's Youth Theatre

Actor's Youth Theatre (AYT) is entering our 12th season of providing a welcoming home for young performers aged 5 to 18 through musicals, plays, workshops, year-round classes, show choirs and more - all being held at our new theatre in Gilbert, the Tuscany Theatre. AYT nurtures the novice performer and develops the craft of the experienced actor - and produces award-winning shows (10 Zoni awards this year!)in the process. AYT touches the lives of hundreds of young people each year. We invite you to help us continue providing these opportunities for our East Valley youth for years to come!

Arizona Education Scholarship Foundation, Inc dba

We are a non-profit, certified school tuition organization, helping families send their children to the school of their choice with scholarships. This is made possible through generous donations by Arizona residents, companies and organizations. Besides the knowledge of knowing a donation helps another person and the donator is directing the State to spend their tax liability on education, there is that extra benefit of a 100% tax credit. We are an all volunteer organization that provides scholarship to many of the families who attend private K-12 schools in Gilbert. We also give 90-95% of every donation made.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley Gilbert Branch

Our programs are based on the Formula for Impact, which has three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. The programs we are committed to operate are: Project Learn, Power Hour (Homework Help), Junior Staff Training Program, Torch and Keystone Clubs (leadership clubs for youth and teens, respectively), Youth of the Year, Fine Arts Exhibit, Digital Arts Festival, SMART Moves (prevention programs), NetSmartz (internet safety course), Triple Play (healthy body, mind and soul), and Healthy Habits (nutrition and health programs) These programs are delivered to the youth we serve while using the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's Youth Development Strategy, which is to instill all members with a sense of belonging. What makes the Boys & Girls Clubs unlike any other is that NO child is ever turned away. No matter their financial status. We offer scholarships to all those in need.

Career Connectors Network

Career Connectors provides outreach programs offering career connections, hiring companies, education workshops, networking, resources and job leads in targeted networking groups. Offer a web portal of career resources, job leads and social media connections.

Child Crisis Center

We are a shelter for abused or neglected children ages 0-11, and an adoption and foster care agency. We also offer parenting classes and programs through our family resource center and free in-home support for parents of children ages 0-5. If you know of a child who needs a safe place while a situation is being resolved at home, please call 480.969.2308.

COPPERSTAR REPERTORY CO.

Thanks to Copperstar Repertory Co.'s seasons of hit Broadway musicals, theatergoers of the East Valley have no need to travel to New York to get their fix of the Great White Way. Since 2008, in lavish productions featuring performers culled from statewide auditions, and behind-the-scenes work from theater professionals, Copperstar has treated more than 40,000 viewers to classics such as The Sound of Music and modern hits such as Seussical. And their efforts have been noticed: Copperstar has scooped up acclaim from the AriZoni Awards, and multiple Gilbert Mayor’s Arts Awards and a 2013 nomination for the Arizona Governor’s Arts Award in Education.

East Valley RSVP

East Valley RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) is a program of the nonprofit East Valley Adult Resources serving nonprofits, medical centers and government agencies in the Town of Gilbert and also throughout eastern Maricopa, Gila and Pinal counties. We provide life-changing opportunities for volunteers age 55 and over. We help meet critical needs of communities by mobilizing around 60,000 hours of volunteer service a year. We strengthen public and nonprofit agencies by matching skilled 345-400 volunteers with vital programs and services.

Empowerment Through Sports

Empowerment Through Sports is a youth sports non-profit organization that caters to children ages 6-14. ETS offers recreational sports all while focusing on the personal growth and development of the athlete. ETS has implemented supplemental elements to its programs that help the child-athlete learn about self-empowerment, community responsibility and respect for authoritative figures.

Gilbert Education Foundation

Established in 2001, the Gilbert Education Foundation (GEF)has provided financialsupport to students and staff of Gilbert Public Schools. Thousands of students benefit from innovative programs funded by our teacher grant program. We have helped many graduating seniors through our Senior Scholarships sponsored by members of our local business community. In addition, we also distribute services through United Way. The Gilbert Education Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization.

Gilbert Junior High School PTRO

Gilbert Jr. High School PTRO is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to raising funds to be used in the classroom, and on the campus of GJHS to enhance the quality of education and services for the students, staff and community.

Gilbert Relay for Life

The Relay for Life of Gilbert works in the community by outreach through to our local schools, hospitals, faith organizations and business’. We are aiming to raise awareness to those affected by cancer in our community as well as work with organizations for our Relay for Life event on May 10th. Our Relay is an overnight event where teams walk throughout the night fundraising to help make strides in cancer research and fund local programs offered to members of our community.

Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pine Council

GSACPC serves central and northern Arizona, and portions of the Navajo Nation. Equipped with skill-building programming and four resident and day camps, we reach 24,000 girls ages 5-17 and 10,000 adult volunteers each year. GSACPC is always looking for those interested in sharing their time and talents with girls. It is a fun-filled and rewarding journey helping to shape girls of courage, confidence and character that builds lasting memories. While a girl pays just $15 in annual dues, our Council invests more than $300 to provide her with a full year of high quality programs. As a 501C-3 organization, we depend on contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners to make Girl Scouting affordable to every girl, regardless of her family income. Your gifts support the cost of membership, programs, camp, volunteer training, and so much more.

Highland High School Band Boosters

Highland High School opened in 1993. The band program has an enrollment of over 350 students which make up the 4 concert bands & 4 jazz bands that meet year round, a competitive marching band with 150+ performers, State Champion Winterguard, & State Champion Winter Concert Percussion Ensemble. The band program provides an outstanding music education and creates positive learning experiences for Highland's student musicians. Highland has established a tradition of musical excellence. The concert, jazz, and marching bands frequently receive ratings of superior with distinction in Arizona festivals and competes in festivals and competitions all over the Southwest.

Junior Achievement of Arizona

Junior Achievement is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We believe every child deserves an education in economics and finances in order to inspire and prepare them for success in a global economy. Our goal is to help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. In learning these lessons, and putting them into quantifiable action, our students become intimately familiar with economics and finances. They become better prepared to assume their role in the practical world of work and responsible citizenship.

Lutheran Social Services - SW

Family SPOT is a program of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest in collaboration with faith-based and community organizations to serve the diverse needs of young children and their families. Funding is through a grant from First Things First, whose goal is to identify health and education opportunities for children birth through five years old. Family SPOT understands that parents are the key to strong and ready children, so the program offers many opportunities to help families increase protective factors that promote strong parenting and children’s optimal development that will help lead to stronger communities. Family SPOT is equipped to offer concrete support to families in times of need such as resources and referrals, family assessments, and various parenting classes. Resources and referrals provide families much-needed access to information and links to resources to increase their capability and confidence to support their child’s safety, health, and readiness for kindergarten. Family assessment appointments are held at Family SPOT Resource Centers between staff and families who are in need of community resources; completing a SNAP or AHCCCS application and linking a family with quality healthcare providers, child care, and any other resources specific to that family’s needs. Family SPOT Resource Centers offer a variety of evidence-based opportunities for parents to increase their knowledge and understanding of parenting and child development.

Shun the Sun Foundation

Shun the Sun Foundations is to be the principal voice for Education & Awareness of the harmful and devastating effects of skin cancer caused by prolonged sun and artificial UV rays exposure. Through fund raising efforts the foundation: Educates our school children regarding the harmful effects of sun overexposure - Builds playground Shade Structures - Plans to build Shade Structures over other community facilities - Looks to become the foremost treatment facility in fighting against and finding a cure for skin cancer

Southwest Human Development

Southwest Human Development is Arizona’s largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development. Recognizing a child’s earliest experiences and relationships establish the foundation for all future development, Southwest Human Development’s more than 40 programs are designed to prevent problems before they arise or, when they already exist, provide the opportunity to intervene as early and effectively as possible. Southwest Human Development’s comprehensive services are focused on very young children – ages birth to five – and their families in the areas of child health and development, Easter Seals disabilities services, Head Start and early literacy, child welfare and professional education and training.

Starbright Foundation Inc

Starbright strives to care for the children in our valley that are victims of severe abuse and those children sold into human sex traffficking. This crime has rapidly increased and Starbright is the only non profit in the valley that serves infants through age 18 that fall victim to these horrific crimes. Starbright also cares for hurting children, hungry children and those who have needs of clothing and personal items. We educate children and adults on the issues of human sex trafficking and internet safety as well as issues that our students can face such as bullying, suicide, abuse, date rape and more. Starbright is connected to many local businesses and churches that can resource together to care for the needs of hurting children. Won't you join with us on saying "No Excuse for Child Abuse?
