Assistance League of Temecula Valley

Assistance League is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer organization serving the families of Southwest Riverside County since 1989. Revenue from the Assistance League Thrift Shop, 28720 Via Montezuma, Temecula, is the main source of funding for our philanthropic programs. All funds raised stay in our local communities. Philanthropic Program Descriptions: *Operation School Bell is the main philanthropic program of the organization. It provides new clothing for disadvantaged school children (K-12) within the defined service area. The program also provides services through Chapters for Children, Save Our Students (SOS) and Assistance League Girls' Couture Closet. *Operation Bear Hug provides teddy bears to outside agencies who will distribute them during a time of need. Bears are currently placed in Loma Lina University Medical Center, Inland Valley Medical Center, Rancho Springs Medical Center, Rady Children's Pediatric Center - Murrieta, Oak Grove Center, Rancho Damacitas, Hugs Foster Youth Agency, Temecula Valley Medical lCenter, Murrieta Fire Department, Menifee Fire Department. *Operation Community Outreach meets a range of community needs on a one-time basis. This program enables the organization to respond to emergency requests for goods and services in a flexible manner. *Operation Scholarships offers financial aid to high school seniors and teacher grants for classroom enrichment programs. *Operation Foster Youth facilitates the collaboration with the Foster Youth Task Force. Through this program Assistance League provides service in the form of the basic essentials of clothing and necessary supplies to foster family agencies for children entering the foster care system. *Operation Non-Profit Partnerships oversees the free use of the chapter meeting room by other 501(c)(3) organizations. Partnerships are formed with community 501(c)(3) organizations to assist in providing needed services to the community. Partnership service needs are defined as the provision of goods and services that Assistance League determines meet a need in the community and that Assistance League has no philanthropic program in place to meet these needs. Donations may be made to benefit all programs of a specific program. Journey Christian Ministries/Journey Martial Arts

Journey Christian Ministries is a 501(c)(3) religious organization offering a variety of programs to the Lake Elsinore community. All services are offered on a sliding scale basis with no one turned away for lack of ability to pay. Programs offered: Counseling for individuals, adolescents, couples and families; A quality Martial Arts/Self Defense Program for all ages with standardized curriculum taught by a 4th Degree Black Belt/Certified Instructor; Group music lessons in guitar, piano, and bass guitar, comedy, poetry and other creative arts with performance opportunities available through our internet lounge; Open mic nights for our students and the community to enable families to enjoy a free night out, a lending library and reading club, and a "Homework Club" with an onsite tutor for academic assistance.
