Family Central, Inc. has a proud 43-year legacy of providing high-quality services to help low-income families and childcare programs create safe, nurturing environments for young children in South Florida. Nationally-accredited by the Council on Accreditation and certified by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training, Family Central continues to transform lives through its mission to promote children’s success by providing quality family support and educational services. Originally the sole provider of subsidized childcare support in Broward County, Family Central responded to meet the emerging complex and critical needs of families throughout South Florida. It has grown into a multi-cultural, comprehensive, nationally-accredited, social service organization that has earned a reputation for efficient and impactful services. As a trauma-informed agency, Family Central continually demonstrates genuine compassion and concern when caring for each individual, child, and family it serves. Last year alone, Family Central helped over 110,000 children, families, and childcare providers. Family Central has created or replicated a broad range of highly-effective, nationally-acclaimed family-support, parenting, home-visiting, and literacy programs. These vital programs help children who are vulnerable due to abuse, neglect, homelessness, or poverty. Through its early education programs and/or its Training Academy, Family Central trains and coaches more than 800 childcare providers and hosts major early childhood conferences to build the community’s capacity to improve the quality learning for young children. Family Central also offers millions of meals and snacks for low-income children throughout several counties in South Florida.
