C.O.P.S. will hold its first Blue Ribbon 5K Run/Walk at the Linn Creek Park on Saturday, May 31. Registration will be in the park pavilion opens at 7:30 and the Run/Walk will begin at 9 am. Prizes will be given to the first three finishers in all categories. Proceeds will help C.O.P.S. continue to underwrite its hands-on programs which include the yearly C.O.P.S. Kids Camp for surviving children and their parent or guardian. Events like these help C.O.P.S. continue to state: "C.O.P.S. does not charge survivors for any program or service; they have already paid too high a price." The 8th Annual C.O.P.S. National Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Old Kinderhook with a Shotgun Start at 11:00 am. C.O.P.S. is seeking financial sponsors @ the $400 and $1000 level to help us achieve our goal. All proceeds from the tournament underwrite the Surviving Spouses Retreat held yearly in September. Additionally, a silent auction is held in conjunction with the tournament and we are seeking items to be used in the silent auction.
