Junior Achievement Program Facilitators and Advisors
Junior Achievement is looking for inspiring volunteers to teach our realistic and hands-on programs! We have programs for grades 5 to 12 and an after-school program for high school students on topics that range from small business, entrepreneurship, personal finance and banking to staying in school.
Skills/attributes needed are: strong communication skills, business background/interest, patience and a sense of humour!
Time commitments vary for each program, and most programs are taught during the day in a classroom on a schedule negotiated with individual volunteers.
The after-school Company Program runs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 and is a once-a-week commitment for about 20 weeks. The program runs from October to late April.
The in-school JA programs vary and can be anywhere from a commitment of 4 hours to a commitment of a few weeks.
