Simple concept. 100 Women. 1 Hour. $100 each = $10,000 donated to a local charity. Our mission is to reach out and help our community by finding at least 100 or more women who will contribute $100 four times a year with all the proceeds going toward local charities. The idea is to keep it local and make an impact that people can see in our community. To date we have held six meetings and we have raised a total of $52,100. At our most recent meeting our chapter voted to donate to HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre donating $8,600. We cannot wait to be 100 Women Strong. Our chapter is quickly growing and we encourage everyone to join us. Lutherwood, KidsAbility, HopeSpring Cancer Unit, The Cambridge Self Help Food Bank, The YWCA of Kitchener Waterloo and The Coping Centre have been recipients of the “100 Women Who Care” donations. 100 Women Who Care Waterloo Region was also nominated for 2014 Women of the Year. How We Work: - Members commit to donating $100 at each meeting - Meetings are 4 times a year for only 1 hr - Nominated charities come from our members - Charities have the opportunity to present to members - Members vote by ballot for charity of their choice - Winning charity is selected by majority votes - All charities are registered - Tax receipts will be issued
