Healthy Beginnings is a non-profit that provides the most comprehensive assessment and referral service for the health and development of every child under 6 years old in Deschutes County. Covering 12 key areas, these free screenings determine whether a child is developing appropriately for their age including identifying problems that can easily be overlooked at regular checkups

Our mission is to ensure all children enter kindergarten in a healthy state and ready to learn. Our work fosters healthy nurtured children, families and communities by bringing accessible physical,developmental and behavioral screenings for children from birth to five years of age.
